The group is brought out in a registered boat for rod-fishing (it may be stipulated beforehand if a rented rod is needed) and to view spectacular scenery off the Dún Chaocháin coast of northwest Mayo. Cliffs may be seen which have counterparts on the other side of the Atlantic.
The seven-day package is all-in and includes the following items:
1. sleeping arrangements in a Gaelic house, board - including breakfast, lunch (either packed or with the hosts) and an evening meal;
2. three days out boating and rod-fishing (10am – 5pm);
3. visits to an anvil forge, St Dervilla’s Heritage Centre and the Museum of Country Life; and
4. attendance at workshops for set dancing, folk crafts (making thatch, butter etc) and music and song.
The package includes, where necessary, transport to visitor sites and collection from and return to the train station.
